well i filled it this morning and my guess of 65 litres was a tad low..... it took 66.7 so just shy of 15 mpg on that tank.

after filling with regular 87 octane and resetting the mpg meter i was on the expressway and set the cruise at 60 mph at approx 1800 rpm. outside temperature was about 34 degrees today. went for about 50  miles without touching either brake or gas......all flat surface roads, no hills etc......managed to get 19.8 mpg on that part........ i would guess that is the absolute best the truck will do.........

if you guys tell me that is normal and the best i can expect then i guess thats it

actually i just looked at the nissan website; they quote 15 city/20 highway for a nismo 2WD automatic.........based on the new 2008 rating........

guess the fat lady just sang..........

Sounds like something is up with the truck, I just drove my 06 LE CC w/ 4.0L
auto on a 2000mile road trip and the truck averaged 19.5mpg for the entire
trip. Average speed was about 70-75mph. And that included some city
driving and idling the truck while I ate some lunch.

Check out some of mentioned things I guess.

Hey guys I dont know what to say I just bought a new 2wheel dr 08 crew cab and I have had it 10 days as I posted before and am getting 13-14 mi highway at 55 mi an hr. I am not pleased with this at all. I have owned other trucks and not even close to this even needing a tune up. I have put 1200 miles on it with 2 raod trips and its killing me. I am taking it to the dealer Mon. Plus I dont have a lead foot when it comes to excelleration. We will see and I will keep you posted if its anything helpful.

glad to hear i am not alone

sorry to hear we are in the same boat.

part of your issue may be the new motor......but i can see it improving by more than about 10% after break in.

my last tank i got 14.5; with a tonneau and never anything in the back; 90% on a 4 lane highway.........29000 miles on it

love the truck except for this which will probably cause me to dump it

I hear that. I was actually wrong with my calculations I guess I am getting like 17 mi to the gl I get around 280 to a tank! I still am peeved not what i expected or what I was told when I bought  the truck. My coulsin bought a tittan and gets 23-24 on the hwy. So you tell me . I f I had the money to get rid of it I would . Other than the gas I love the truck but Its killing me .I am going on a road  trip next week to ny so we will see and the gas is even more $ there so I will not be happy about that.

I have an '07 Crew Cab 4x4 standard transmission, and just checked my mileage on the highway.  Terrible!! 20 miles per Imperial gallon (16 miles per US gallon) on regular fuel.  That's the same as my old 1995 V8 F150, and one of the reasons I bought a new one was because of the fuel costs.  I don't see the point in using premium fuel unless the mileage increases by over 10%, because that's how much more it costs up here in Canada.  Gord

Another thought... I wonder whether the gas refining is getting crumbier??  I went on a trip into the US NW last summer and it seemed my mileage dropped off dramatically once I crossed the border.  Then came back when I got back to Canada, but only for one tank before it dropped off again and stayed there.
