The Frontier is much american as the Ford F series. It was as AZTera said, built designed, and tested here in the USA. AND JUST LIKE FORD, the parts are outsourced.
And if you want to really get them in a bunch, tell them back in the 80s Ford was more worried about designing cars for the rest of the world than their own country. That all "their" 4 cylinder motors were actually Mazda motors.
Dodge has outsourced, look at the old 80s Colts... and the sad part is Dodge didn't even change the name for their line. Both Dodge and Mitsibushi ran the Colt in the US. And even today you have the Dakota and Raider.
GM... ROFL. If they're muscle car enthusiasts. The ENTIRE design for the Pontiac GTO came from the HOLDEN Monaro which was built first... in Australia.
In all actuallality, there is no such thing as an "American" car anymore. Even those built here in the US have parts that are outsourced.
