alright. there are apparently 3 kinds of engines that are ka24de's.

im completely thrown off now. my truck has one in it. but so do 240sx's. and altimas.

someone explain the difference in them. now i just see them all as equals.

There is no difference in the motors.  (except maybe the intake)  The heads and block are the same. 

Wait... I could have sworn the DEs didn't come out till 2002.  If your's already has the DE version... the defintley check www.jimwolftechnology.com  Pistons, cams, etc.  You could even put on a turbo.

I'm jealous... you have a manual in yours.  Oh well, I like to cruise with mine. 

I just bought new tires.  Goodyear Wranglers.  Man my truck looks weird.  It actually almost looks like a 4x4.  I'll post pics up as soon as I can.

im gonna steer away from the 4x4 look, since ive already gotten stuck in some mud.

i plan on lowering it. bigger rims, lower profile tires. nothing too showy though.

actually. i think im keeping the stock rims. i dont feel like trying to find a 6 lug rim that i like that has the same. uh. offset.

the spindles i found have to have the same offset as the factory wheels. or theyll break.

but its all good. i like the overall stock look. i mean, itll be lower to the ground, but it wont make it seem like im trying to pimp it up or rice it around. or whatever.
