I also had the seat noise and was going to have the dealer fix it. I took a large freind of mine fishing and the seat hasn't made a peep since. Maybe it needs to be sat in?

I have had the same problem for 31K with the seat vibrating significantly, but hasn't lessened or gone away.... I took it to a dealer and they said its only covered under the initial 12k "adjustment" period but I am not happy with that answer.... bolts are all tight, any other suggestions of how to fix it or get it fixed?

Thanks!!

I've been back to the dealer twice for the passenger seat problem. The first time they replaced the seat back. It was better for a while but after a few months it got progressively worse and started to squeak again. So I brought it back and they installed what they called a "dampening kit". Now it still shakes and there is a minor rattle sometimes, but no squeak... yet.

I have a feeling that the seat design is just a poor one and that this is the best I can expect (unfortunately). Anyone out there have a happy ending to this problem? If so, what's the cure?

Bri

My 08 KC had a rattle in the pass seat at highway speed when I first got it. After my wife sat in it a few times I don't seem to notice it any more. I do notice the handle on my lunch box rattle when it is in the seat!!! Turn up the radio - noise not noticeable!!!!!!
And yes, there is a TSB to add a mass dampner to the rear frame work of the seat. The # is NTB08-063.

I had this problem with my 06 kc 6 speed. There is a panel on the back of the seat that simply pulls off. under it you will find the internals of the folding seat system. find some soft foam and wedg it between the components. they are what is causing the noise, the seat will still move around a bit but the noise will be gone. do not wedg too tightly though as you can bind up the parts. Good Luck!!!
