another option, unless you are going to be doing some serious off-roading, and you'll see why when you look at this product, (unless you have a skidplate protecting your oil pan) would be this thing here....am going to order one for my fronty and try it.

these are apparently from the same company, just that the second was is what it is called now...but i guess fumato is the japanese group that engineered it..it also on one of the sites says they ahve been tested and approved by certain manufacturers with nissan being one of them. there is also another kind of quick drain valve, that i'll post that is a little diff and uses a hose that connects to drain "plug" and is a quick connect hose type thing that i was told about on another forum.

Wow allot of though goes into one little plug around here.

Here's how it works!!! Gaskets made of Copper, Rubber, Silk, Animal Skin... will work. As long as it has a smooth surface and isn't cracked it will work.

The Drain plug is just a plug to stop the oil from coming out. Torque it to around 30 inch lbs just enough to keep the oil from coming out (as previously mentioned) then call it a day.

The reason the lady's drain plug came out was because it was probably not torque at all when she had her oil changed last time. Or maybe jiffy lube torqued it with an impact gun and stripped the hell out of it.

Remember oil change boys are usually 15 years old. This isn't brain surgery it’s just a plug to keep the oil in. it’s not a magical plug!! It’s just a plug!!
