End of week and especially end of month are the best times to deal. If the dealer is close to hiiting sales numbers, they will be more willing to give you a better price.
Edmunds is a great place to start. You will get invoice pricing there and can email several dealers to get the best price. Your best deal will occur as others have said when Nissan offers rebates to move slower moving vehicles. I just bought an 08 4wd crew cab SE with long bed and 6 speed tranny and V6. I got the value package, spary in bed liner and the bed extension kit. MSRP was $26,145, best dealer quote was $21,899. I added the towing kit and fog lights and paid 24081 out the door including taxes, tags, inspection in PA. Nissan had a 2500 dollar rebate so I was happy with the price.
