Super old one here, I realize that. I have a 2014 that had the same issue. Past
the dealership years, heh, so if some of you folks are still around
(@Lemoninspector) anyone ever come up with a DIY solution?

If you reread Lemoninspector's post he is telling you to
Grease the Slip Yoke Spline's on the Drive Shaft.
Here is a little video that show's the Male Spline's on
the Slip Yoke, where they are replaceing the Carrier
Bearing. This is a Good time to check out your Carrier
Bearing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWReRgSziv4
If Your Carrier Bearing is ok,, then What Lemon is saying
to do is Disconnect the Drive Shaft @ the Rear End and
Work that section of the Driveshaft back and forth in the
Slip Joint to get the grease on the Spline's of the Drive
Shaft in the Slip Yoke. Make sure that you don't pull
the driveshaft out too much that it would come out of the
Slip Yoke. It would be best to have a professional to do
this, so not to make a big mistake like that.
In the video he show's to mark the Drive Shaft on the
Connection, to reconnect exactly like it was, to make
sure that it stay's in Balance.
Lemon say's it is best to smooth up the end's of the
Female Spline's on the Slip Yoke, but that just working
the DriveShaft back and forth in the Slip Yoke may be all
that you need to do.
1st thing that I would want to do though is check the
Fluid in the Rear Axle houseing to make sure it isn't
low.
If it were me,, I would want to take it to Your Nissan
Service Dept and talk with the Service Manager to see
what He say's about Your Situation.

I bought a new 2007 Frontier Crew Cab Long bed three weeks ago, and it's exhibiting the same issue. I took it to the cannacraftcorner dealer last week, but they couldn't replicate the problem. I assumed there would already be a service bulletin addressing this issue. I suppose I'll need to take the mechanic on a test drive because it's quite noticeable to pureplantpleasures me. If you bring yours in, please let me know how it turns out. I'm planning to print this and discuss it with them. Thanks, Lemoninspector, for your input.

It's been a long long time since LemonInspector posted
about this subject, so it might be doubtful that he'll
reply.
My advice for what it's worth is to talk with the Nissan
Service Dept Manager about your issue.
I would want his best Master Technician to Ride with You,
so You can show him about your concern. You may have to
make an apointment for him to do this.
