The color is more blue than purple.  And actually comparing the stock light to the HID just looking at it, it's easier to tell the HID is brighter.  But for the distance people are driving on the otherside of the road to them it might not seem so bright.

But I do agree it could vary depending upon the style of reflectors.  You can also adjust the headlight to move that beam more toward the road.

One thing to watch out for on the higher wattage bulbs.  The connector can begin to melt on the back of the bulb.  I put on a 100/80 on my 02 Frontier, and my right connector melted.  I don't know how much that pertains to the new Frontiers though.

I did spend $170 on the low beam only.  and $180 on the Hi/Lo beam.  I did the installation myself so it didn't cost me the installation cost.  I mounted them on the radiator support near the light ended up driling 2 1/16-inch holes.  Didn't even have to re-wire my light.  They came pre-wired.

If you buy any of the aftermarket projector headlights off of ebay, you get a standard cheap H3 halogen projectors. And the story goes, anytime you try and fit an HID bulb into anything other than its orginal intended projector, you'll end up with horrible glare, tickets and pissed off people. I guess thats how the story goes or so I've heard. Even though as odd as it is, you can find H3 HID kits. That doesnt make sense to me. If you guys are interested in any Projector retrofit people check out these sites

www.izntrbl.com

www.theretrofitsource.com

those are two good sites for custom projector headlight fitting.

oh yea, and check out the sweet photoshop i did of my truck with projectors....its in the sig baby...

Hello everyone, i have a 2001 frontier Xe, just got those lights in the mail, small disappointment, HID's do NOT work with those lights, the beams pointed down wards at the ground, the take H1 bulbs so the h1 HID bulbs don't extend out far enough in the headlight enclosure to shoot the beam out correctly, as for the fitments, it fits pretty well but be careful when bolting them in, the plastic parts break easily, I have them installed but haven't gotten the led's and halos on a toggle switch yet, once i get those done i will post some pictures of the entire setup, i also have pictures of the headlights with the HID's but couldn't see crap.  Had to drive home from a friends house 40 miles seeing nothing haha. Has high beam and low beams, low beams are the projectors and high are the lights next to to. OTher than that gives the truck and awesome new look, but i miss my HID's thinking about getting the PIAA Plasma Ultra Spark 8000k bulbs, 80 dollars but not totally sure if they work.  Anyone know anything about those.  well hope to get pix soon. later for now

Just installed new halo projector lights wiring wasnt to bad,  connected and pigtailed all the black wires then spliced them to the black wires from parking lights. connected then pigtailed white wire then spliced it to the green wire of parking lights what really F***** me up was one of the LEDs was grounding out on the housing it took me about 9 fuses to figure it out so if you get these lights check the LEDs in the halos to make sure they arent grounding out and dont order from vertex racing

If by dome light you're referring to an emergency vehicle
led strip blue (AKA Federal siren / light) then that will fall under guidelines by your state. Some
colors are allowed for use led strip 12v by civilians (contractors. first responders, etc.) while others are in
violation.

In the case of vintage emergency vehicles, these lights are waterproof led strip light allowed for authenticity, but they cannot be used
unless the car is in private property, or at an event under the allowance of the local law enforcement authority.
