Hey guys! Well, I just bought a brand spanking new Frontier today!!! It´s a 4-door (crew cab I guess) 2.8l turbo diesel. Black, with the special "aTTack" package, which i´m pretty sure is not available in the U.S. I´m picking it up in a week, and just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, because i´m sure i´ll be seeying alot of you all. Thanks!

Welcome to the org... and be prepared for stoning and booing.  The fact that Nissan does not offer the diesel over here in the U.S. pisses me off to no end.

UGGGHHHH....yeah....where did we store the stones for our diesel fronty companions..lol j/k...i would really like those hood scoops too, are they actually open on the navara or are they like the new toys over here and purely cosmetic? i too am irritated that we aren't offered the diesel package, maybe someday....it's a 2.8 over there eh? i thought in england the diesel was a 2.5....or did the up the displacement with the new model..i'm assuming you have an '07

Thanks for the welcome!! Yeah, they upped the displacement when they switched to the common rail injection.... 140 hp, MWM engine....... It´s the old body but it´s an 07.... The scoop is fully functional, with the scoop fitting right over the intercooler.... do you guys have an FAQ with how to post pics and etc? Because i could up some pics from the brazillian Nissan website...

..

phillyt;

Welcome to the Frontier group!

You can load your photos to your gallery and the photo will be given an Internet URL.

Then view the photo and high-light it and right click ‘copy’. Then move to the page you want the photo on and click paste. This is how I got the photo below to show here.

Some sites use other methods.

Have a good one,   and Carry on.. Don S..

eeek...upped displacement but it sounds like they didn't help ya much in the power department, of course i dont' knwo what numbers the earlier model was putting up....what kind of torque does yours produce, the 2.5dci in england lists as 171HP and 297. something ft/lbs whichi s 1HP more than my 01 gas CC and almost 1.5 times the torque...ugggghhhh again lol, i would like one of those hoods i saw a guy on the site here someplace who looked like he had a US Fronty with one of the hoods off of the navaras, would like to find one of them looked pretty good from what i remember...

For a Diesel that sounds right.  I wanted one of those hoods for my Frontier so bad when I had it.  That, and in the middle east they offer the old style beds with the multiple tie down points (like the old early 80 Datsuns.)

the 340 was actually N/m which is metric and that converts to about 250 ft/lbs but getting that peak at 1700 RPM is a torque monster for a little truck like that...so the UK version at least with the 2.5 is still putting out more power, but you still have a diesel and that's a nice option...yeah i too want one of those hoods, ...the picture of the truck with that hood was in joehova's gallery of his truck side by side with a white fronty with that hood...
