I know, I know, this subject has been beat to death! But none of the tips, tricks, or instructions are working for me. I have tried the key on/off thing a million times. Tried it with door open, door closed, key partially off, key all the way off, pass airbag on, pass airbag off, on my head, rubbing belly, patting head, NOTHING IS WORKING!

I can not even get it in diagnostic mode. I'm thinking maybe there really is a problem. I thought the light came on cause I removed the interior to clean it. When I reinstalled everything it was blinking but maybe somehting else is wrong. I do get the pass on/off light working correctly when I turn on/off the pass airbag but other than that what do I do to tell?

Where do I go from here? Pull the battery? Dealer? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chad

Hate to say it but at this point you maybe heading to the
dealer.

I did the same thing with my F-250 and had somehow jammed
up the passenger switch. So I had to tear it all back down
and fix that. Luckily we had the scan tool at work to
clear out the codes.

Thanks man, I kept at it and it it seems the door ajar method worked after all. Took like 50 times but maybe I just wasn't holding my tongue just right while doing it. Who knows. At least it finally worked and is no longer blinking!

For anyone wondering, here is what I did (I have no idea where I found this so credit is due but I don't know where)

Turn the key to the ON position (not start the car) then tap the door light pin switch button 7 times before the Airbag light starts flashing, then turn the key off waiting more than 3 seconds, and repeat the whole process again one more time, it went to the slow diagnostic mode flashing third time around, and the fourth time when I turned the key OFF and back ON again, the flash was gone.

Thanks,
Chad

Sweet, that's $60 some odd bucks saved. The first time I
had the airbag light going off Nissan did it for free, 2nd
time they said $65 and that only one scan was covered under
warranty.
