When i bought my truck many moons ago someone had already installed an aftermarket cd player. Its ok and works fine for what i need it but it whines like crazy through the speakers when i use the gas pedal. It is really annoying and i cant stand it anymore. has anyone had this problem and is there a way to make it go away and thoughts let me know thanks

That would be a poorly grounded Head Unit.  I would suggest pulling the head unit, finding out where the ground wire is grounded to, and move it to somewhere better.

Your whining is actually feedback from the alternator.  When you push on the gas, the RPMs raise, spinning your alternator faster.  Causing the pitch to go higher through your speakers.

Moving the ground wire to a better spot, cleaning the spot it is at will help eliminate this.

if your using an amp to power the speakers, separate the rca's and power wire    i am having the same problem i ran the rca's thru the center console to the amp under my drivers seat and this took care of it.  also you could upgrade to a head unit with 5volt pre out to your amp. my old head unit had this and i had no problems with my rca's next to my power wire but now with a head unit that isnt 5v out i have to move my rca's.
